Bail granted to two more accused in Panoor bomb blast case

Thalassery: In a recent development in connection with the Panoor bomb blast, two more accused have been granted bail. The blast, which occurred on April 5 at 12:30 pm on the terrace of a house under construction in Muliyathode, Panoor, resulted in one death and left four others injured.

The Thalassery Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate granted bail to the sixth accused C. Sayuj (26) and Amal Babu (27). With this, 5 persons have been granted bail in this case so far. The bail applications were filed through advocate Pradhyu.

Earlier, O. K. Arun (29) from Panoor, A.P. Shabinlal (27), and K. S. Atul (30) from Koovalloor were also granted bail on Friday. 

Despite 90 days passing since the incident, no charge sheet has been filed, leading to granting of bail.

The deceased, Sherin, and the injured accused were identified as activists of DYFI. The case involves a total of 12 persons who were initially under remand.
