Kadamakudy (Kochi, Kerala): Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra made a quiet visit to Kadamakudy in Kerala on Friday, describing the village as “one of the most beautiful villages on Earth.” The industrialist’s trip highlighted the serene charm of the village and its waterways.

Mahindra drove himself from Kochi, arriving at Kadamakudy at 11:20 am. The visit coincided with his attendance at the Mahindra Group leadership camp, and he chose a route via Varappuzha to reach Valiya Kadamakudy Island.

Earlier on X (formerly Twitter), Mahindra had revealed that Kadamakudy was on his bucket list for his December business trip to Kochi. Kerala Tourism Minister Mohammed Riyas welcomed his plan and shared it on social media.

Writing on X after the visit, Mahindra said:

“…Friday I drove to Kadamakkudy to see if it truly deserves its reputation as one of the most beautiful villages on earth. Clean and pristine. Tranquil kayals stretching as far as the eye can see, with small launches chugging gently along their waters. Egrets and black cormorants, preening and drying themselves in the sun. Mesmerising.”

Mahindra drove around in a Mahindra Thar and spent less than half an hour in the village, accompanied by only two others to keep the visit private.
