Holiday rush: Additional coaches added to 10 trains, including Malabar and Maveli Express

Kannur: In light of the increased demand during the holidays, the Indian Railways has introduced additional coaches on several trains from April 17 to 22.

An AC chair car has been added to the Thiruvananthapuram-Kozhikode Jan Shatabdi (12076) and Kozhikode-Thiruvananthapuram Jan Shatabdi (12075) from April 18 to 21.

In addition, sleeper coaches will be added to other services. The Thiruvananthapuram-Mangaluru Maveli Express (16604) will have a sleeper coach from April 20 to 22, and the Mangaluru-Thiruvananthapuram Maveli Express (16603) will have one from April 19 to 21.

Similarly, the Thiruvananthapuram-Mangaluru Malabar Express (16629) will be augmented with a sleeper coach from April 18 to 22, and the Mangaluru-Thiruvananthapuram Malabar Express (16630) from April 17 to 21.

The Thiruvananthapuram-Madurai Amrita Express (16343) will see an additional sleeper coach from April 17 to 20, while the Madurai-Thiruvananthapuram Amrita Express (16344) will have one from April 18 to 21.

The Ernakulam-Karakkal Express (16188) will have a sleeper coach from April 19 to 21, and the Karakkal-Ernakulam Express (16187) will have one from April 18 to 20.

Additionally, a special train will operate from Mangaluru Central to Nizamuddin (06075) on Friday, with a departure at 4 pm. The train will have 20 sleeper class coaches to meet the demand.
