BJP files complaint against Palode Ravi for singing national anthem wrong

Thiruvananthapuram: The BJP in Kerala has filed a complaint with the police against Thiruvananthapuram DCC president Palode Ravi for singing the national anthem incorrectly at the concluding session of the Congress’s ‘Samaragni’ rally here the other day.
BJP Thiruvananthapuram district vice president R S Rajeev filed the complaint with the city police commissioner on Friday.
“Palode Ravi disrespecting the national anthem was seen in the media. He started singing it wrongly, tapping on the mike stand rhythmically. One can understand that he was doing it intentionally. We demand a probe and swift action in the incident,” he urged in the complaint.
The incident occurred at the concluding session of the ‘Samaragni’, led by KPCC president K Sudhakaran and Leader of Opposition V D Satheeshan, on the previous day. The incident happened in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Congress leader Sachin Pilot.
Meanwhile, the video of the incident has gone viral on social media. Congress MLA T Siddique quickly intervened and suggested a CD could be played, following which Congress leader Alipatta Jameela taking over the mike was also seen in the video.
