UPSC CSE prelims result 2025 out: Know where to check result PDF and more

Mumbai: The results of the preliminary exam for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 have been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Candidates can check and collect their results from https://upsc.gov.in/ and upsconline.gov.in if they took the UPSC CSE 2025 preliminary exam on May 25.
Last year, UPSC held the CSE prelims exam on June 16, and the UPSC CSE prelims result status was announced on July 1. In 2023, on the other hand, the UPSC CSE preliminary test was held on May 28, and the results were made public on June 12.
The preliminary test was administered by UPSC on May 25, 2025. There were two two-hour objective-type questions (MCQs) with a maximum score of 200 points each.
Additionally, there is negative marking, which means that a penalty of one-third (0.33) of the marks allotted to a question will be subtracted for each incorrect response. Marks earned on the preliminary exam will not be used to determine the final merit list because it is merely a screening examination. The commission's goal in this hiring campaign is to fill 979 positions.
