In a tragic incident in Bihar’s West Champaran district, three teenagers were tragically killed after being run over by a train while playing the popular mobile game PUBG on Thursday. The accident took place near the Royal School at Mansa Tola along the Narkatiaganj-Muzaffarpur rail route, falling under the jurisdiction of Mufassil police station.

The victims, identified as Furkan Alam from Railway Gumti, Sameer Alam from Bari Tola, and Habibullah Ansari, were wearing earphones while playing PUBG, which likely prevented them from noticing the oncoming train. The lack of awareness led to the tragic accident, as they remained unaware of the train’s approach.

Investigation underway

Local authorities, including Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Vivek Deep and Railway Police, have arrived at the scene and are conducting an investigation into the incident. The focus of the inquiry is to understand how the teenagers’ distraction, combined with the conditions at the accident site, contributed to the tragedy.

Following the incident, hundreds of local residents gathered at the scene, expressing shock and sorrow over the loss of young lives. The families of the victims have taken the bodies for burial.
