Sharad Pawar hospitalised in Pune for mild dehydration, say doctors

Pune: Senior Indian politician Sharad Pawar has been admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune after suffering from mild dehydration, according to a medical statement released by doctors.
Dr. Purvez Grant, Chief Cardiologist and Chairman of Ruby Hall Clinic, stated that Pawar required fluid treatment and that his condition is currently stable. Doctors expect him to remain under hospital observation for approximately two days before discharge, depending on his recovery progress.
Pawar had recently been treated at the same hospital after complaining of breathing difficulties and persistent coughing. Medical tests at the time revealed a chest infection, following which he was kept under supervision for several days.
After improvement in his condition, he was discharged and advised to take complete rest for three to four days. Family members and party representatives had earlier expressed gratitude to medical staff for providing treatment and care.
At the time of discharge, Supriya Sule had shared a message on social media thanking doctors and nurses at Ruby Hall Clinic and stating that Pawar would rest at home before resuming routine activities.
The latest medical statement was jointly issued by Dr. Purvez Grant and Dr. Abhijit Lodha of Ruby Hall Clinic, confirming that the veteran leader’s health is being closely monitored.
Doctors have emphasised that Pawar’s condition remains stable, and further treatment will depend on his recovery response over the next 48 hours.
