Pettimudy landslide: Tamil Nadu announces solatium
Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday announced solatium to the landslide victims of Pettimudy in Rajamala.
The kin of those who died in the landslide will be given Rs 3 lakh each while those seriously injured in the tragedy will be given Rs 1 lakh each, said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami.
The victims of the tragedy were Tamils who were working in the tea estate. The landslide which claimed over 60 lives occurred on August 7.
