Delhi airport roof collapse: Passengers clueless, claim 'authorities have no clear answers'

New Delhi: Following Delhi airport's roof collapse, passengers are baffled regarding their next move as airport officials have not given any proper answer.
Yash, a passenger who was supposed to board a flight to Bengaluru claimed that he has still not received any official notification. "I was going to Bengaluru, I had a flight at 8:15 am. Here the roof collapsed around 5, 5:15 am... The airport authority has no answer..." said Yash.
He also added that it's not just him, around 700-800 passengers are waiting there for the authorities to give them a clear picture of the scenario.
"Everyone is cluelessly waiting...Rain may not be the only reason for this collapse...". Citing the safety concerns he added that "few people have been injured and heard that one-two person has died which is a very serious problem".
Passengers at the Delhi airport are left with no option but to wait as no flights are expected to take off from the airport at the moment.
Meanwhile, Air India has shared a tweet on their official X handle for passengers to cross-check their flight status which may be affected due to airport roof collapse and heavy rains in the national capital. The tweet read, "Heavy rains in Delhi may result in flight delays to and from #Delhiairport today. Guests are advised to check the status of their flights (https://bit.ly/45LHjGN) before heading to the airport and keep sufficient time in hand in view of heavy traffic on the roads."
