Mumbai Police summon Orry in ₹252-cr drugs case linked to Bollywood circles

In a major development in a high-profile narcotics investigation, the Mumbai Police’s Anti‑Narcotics Cell (ANC) has issued a summons to social-media influencer Orhan Awatramani — better known as “Orry” — asking him to appear tomorrow at 10 am at the Ghatkopar subdivision for questioning.
The summons relates to the ongoing probe into a sprawling drug syndicate tied to a seizure and trafficking network allegedly worth around ₹252 crore.
According to officials, the ANC is investigating claims made by one accused — Mohammad Salim Suhail Sheikh (also referred to as “Lavish”) — who reportedly told investigators he organised and supplied drugs at high-profile parties in India and abroad, and named several Bollywood personalities and influencers among attendees.
The case gained traction after a large-scale drug haul and subsequent probe of alleged links with international trafficking networks and rave parties. The ANC reportedly found materials suggesting that Sheikh’s network operated across borders, and that the parties involved may have been attended by celebrities, models, and business figures.
In his statement, the accused allegedly claimed that the parties were thrown in India and abroad specifically for an elite circle, and he named Orry alongside prominent names such as Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fatehi.
The police are now verifying the travel records, event attendance, and possible financial trails of all named individuals before deciding on formal action.
The ANC is emphasising that at this stage no arrest has been made against Orry. The summons is for questioning only, as the probe remains in its fact-gathering phase. “We need legally admissible evidence, travel records, communications, and financial links before proceeding,” a senior official said.
The inquiry underscores the widening net of drug enforcement in Mumbai as agencies attempt to plug cross-border supply chains, high-end parties, and celebrity linkages. How this summons may affect Ociety’s influencer culture and Bollywood social circles remains to be seen.
