New Delhi: Two members of the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar-Virender Charan gang, identified as Rahul and Sahil from Panipat and Bhiwani in Haryana, were arrested following a gunfight on Jaitpur-Kalindi Kunj Road in Delhi on Thursday. The duo was allegedly tasked with assassinating stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqi, who won the reality show Bigg Boss in 2024 and has 14.2 million Instagram followers.

According to police, the suspects were operating under instructions from gangster Rohit Godara, who is based abroad and linked to Goldy Brar and Virender Charan. Investigators revealed that the pair had conducted reconnaissance in Mumbai and Bengaluru to track Faruqi’s movements.

During the encounter, Rahul sustained a gunshot injury and was taken to a hospital for treatment. He is also wanted in connection with a triple murder in Yamunanagar, Haryana, in December 2024. Police seized the firearms used in the shootout along with a motorcycle.
