Is Mayukh Ranjan Ghosh joining another news channel? Cryptic post, WhatsApp group exit spark buzz

Senior journalist Mayukh Ranjan Ghosh has sparked intense speculation over his future after reports suggested he may have stepped away from Republic Bangla.
While neither the journalist nor the channel has made an official announcement, developments inside the newsroom and a cryptic social media post have triggered widespread discussion.
According to sources, Ghosh exited several official Republic Bangla WhatsApp groups on Monday morning.
Employees, speaking on condition of anonymity, claimed to a portal named Bangla Hunt that he logged out of the Republic Bangla newsroom for the final time on Tuesday before leaving all office-related WhatsApp groups and official email channels.
Sources further alleged that he has already informed the management of his decision.
However, there has been no official confirmation from either side. Attempts to contact Ghosh for a response reportedly did not receive any reply.
The speculation gained further momentum after the senior journalist shared a lengthy Facebook post on Tuesday night, reflecting on August 5, 2024, a day he described as one of the defining moments of his journalism career.
He wrote that his reporting on that day helped him reach Bengali-speaking audiences across the world.
The post ended with a message that many interpreted as a hint about his next professional assignment.
'Will December show the way? Is something big about to happen in Dhaka? Is America stirring the pot again? Will one strategic move by India reshape the entire Bay of Bengal? I promise I'll bring you every update first. From Kolkata to Caracas, from Dhaka to Damascus, stay tuned,' he wrote.
The cryptic remarks have only added to the buzz over whether Mayukh Ranjan Ghosh is preparing to join another news channel after his reported exit from Republic Bangla.
However, neither Republic Bangla nor the journalist has confirmed the reports. Until an official statement is issued, the speculation remains unverified.
