With exit polls predicting a strong win for the Congress in the upcoming Haryana election results on October 8, major political parties are sharing their thoughts on the potential outcome. Despite the predictions, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) remains confident of securing the people's support.

Congress expects big victory

Senior Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda is optimistic about his party’s chances. He stated, "I feel that we will win around 65 seats. Congress will form the government with a strong majority."

Similarly, Congress leader Capt. Ajay Singh Yadav, who chairs the AICC OBC unit, believes the party is on track to secure about 60 seats. He said, "Some 10-12 election tickets were not given properly, or else we would have seen an even bigger wave. I wouldn't be surprised if the number of seats crosses 65."

BJP stays positive despite polls

BJP leaders, however, are not swayed by the exit polls. BJP leader Anil Vij confidently said, "BJP will surely win in Haryana and form the government again."

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh echoed this confidence, saying, "The results will be better than the exit polls suggest. BJP will form a full-majority government in both Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir. The people's blessings are with BJP, and a double-engine government will be formed."

Union Minister of State (MoS) and BJP leader Ch. Krishan Pal Gurjar also expressed certainty, saying, "I am confident BJP will form the government by winning over 50 seats."

AAP predicts surprise

Haryana Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) President Sushil Gupta offered a different perspective, saying, "The people of Haryana have voted for change. They have voted against BJP’s arrogance, corruption, crime, and rising unemployment. The results on October 8 will shock everyone. I am confident we will play an important role."
