Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated the state's first super yacht, ‘RA11’, at the Captain of Ports jetty on Wednesday, marking a milestone in the ‘Make in India, Make in Goa’ initiative. Developed as part of India’s premier marine cluster, the launch of ‘RA11’ is expected to significantly enhance Goa’s tourism, especially within the luxury and nautical tourism sectors.

Built by Vijay Marine Engineering, 'RA11' is part of India's premier marine cluster, marking a significant step forward for the state's tourism industry. 

The ‘RA11’ yacht boasts luxurious features designed to cater to high-end tourism and events. With spacious lounges, elegant dining areas, and a sprawling outdoor deck, it is an ideal choice for weddings, private gatherings, or simply unwinding while enjoying Goa’s coastal beauty. 

Speaking at the launch, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant emphasised the impact of ‘RA11’ on Goa’s tourism landscape. "The marine cluster was started by Suresh Dalani through Vijay Marine Engineering. In the same direction 'Make in India, Make in Goa', 'RA11' yacht which has been launched is one of the best yachts in India. For the wedding destination, this type of yacht will be useful. Maximum people will prefer such kinds of yacht for nautical tourism,” said Sawant.

Sawant added that Goa’s tourism industry is moving forward with new offerings to attract a broader audience. “We are moving a step forward in promoting Goa tourism. Such kind of yacht was needed for Goa tourism and it has been launched," he noted.
