The night skies above Jodhpur reverberated with the thunderous sound of powerful aircraft during the second phase of Exercise Tarang Shakti 2024.

The nighttime sorties showcased the skill of the participating forces, demonstrating their remarkable interoperability. The night missions highlighted the capability and readiness of the forces to operate effectively in any environment, day or night.

The second phase of the Tarang Shakti exercise is currently underway in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, and will continue until September 14. This multinational air exercise, hosted by India, is the largest of its kind and features participation from 10 countries, with additional nations attending as observers.

A diverse range of military assets are being showcased during the exercise, including Australia's F-18 fighter jets, Bangladesh's C-130 transport aircraft, Greece's F-16 fighter jets, and the USA's A-10 and F-16 fighter jets. Notably, Greece's participation marks its first-ever involvement in a military exercise in India.

Host nation India is also demonstrating its advanced military capabilities, including the LCA Tejas, Su-30 MKIs, Rafales, Sukhoi, Mirage, Jaguar, MiG-29, Prachand and Rudra attack helicopters, ALH Dhruv, C-130, IL-78, and AWACS assets.

The participation of Greece in Tarang Shakti 2 is particularly significant, as it marks a reciprocal gesture following India's participation in Greece's Iniochos exercise in April 2023.
