New Delhi: A bomb threat was received by a school in Delhi on Saturday morning, marking the third incident of such threats being reported in the national capital this week.

According to Delhi Fire Services, the call about the bomb threat was received at 6:09 am. Shortly after, a group email was sent to the school at 6:12 am by an individual named "Barry Allah," using the email address childrenofallah@outlook.com.

The bomb threat email read, "Allah sees your efforts to resist his punishment. But they are futile. For no mortal being can escape the judgement of Allah. The Prophet Mohammed declares all who go against Allah enemies to the world. We see your attempt to stop us. It will not work. The Prophet Mohammed has allowed the children to burn in the sacred flame of Allah."

The email further stated, "On Saturday, where students may not be there in your buildings, is when the buildings shall be brought down. Our bomb vests are blessed by the Prophet Muhammad. They shall not fail their goal. Our children are brave servants of Allah. They shall complete their task."

Search and evacuation

Following the threat, local authorities, including the Delhi Fire Services, police, bomb detection teams, and dog squads, immediately reached the school and began a thorough search operation. The school was evacuated as a precautionary measure. However, a police official confirmed that no suspicious items were found after the search.

Recent wave of threats

This bomb threat comes just one day after around 30 schools across Delhi received similar hoax bomb threat emails on Friday. Delhi Police said the emails were traced to sources outside the country. Schools were evacuated, and bomb disposal teams were deployed to investigate. As with earlier incidents this week, nothing suspicious was found during the investigations.

Earlier in the week, on Monday, at least 44 schools in Delhi also received bomb threat emails. After conducting searches, the police declared those threats as hoaxes, with no danger identified at the affected schools.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for South East Delhi, Ravi Kumar Singh, confirmed that a detailed investigation was underway to identify those responsible for sending these hoax emails. The police have also stated that they are taking the threats seriously, although no harm has come to students or staff so far.

The Delhi High Court had earlier instructed the Delhi Government and Delhi Police to create a comprehensive action plan to deal with bomb threats. The plan, which includes a detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), is expected to be finalized by the end of this year, with a deadline set for eight weeks.
