CRPF jawan shoots himself with service revolver in Delhi's Moti Bagh, dies on spot

A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan allegedly died by suicide after shooting himself with his service revolver in Delhi's Moti Bagh area on Thursday, sending shockwaves through the security establishment.
The deceased has been identified as 37-year-old Narsi Yadav. According to preliminary information, Yadav was on duty when he allegedly used his service revolver to shoot himself in the head.

He sustained critical injuries and died on the spot before he could receive medical attention. Soon after the incident, senior police officers and CRPF officials rushed to the location and secured the area.
The body was later sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death and complete the medico-legal formalities.
Police have registered a case and initiated a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Investigators are examining all possible angles, including Yadav's personal and professional background, to determine what may have driven him to take the extreme step.
However, no official statement has been issued regarding the motive, and the exact reason behind the alleged suicide remains unknown.
Authorities are also expected to question colleagues and review relevant evidence as part of the investigation. Further details are likely to emerge once the post-mortem report is received and the inquiry progresses.
In a separate incident in Delhi on Thursday, a 20-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly strangling her husband to death following a domestic dispute in the Shahdara area.
Police said the accused, identified as Alisha, was taken into custody within hours of the incident, while the victim, Mustakeem alias Sahil, was declared dead at a nearby hospital.
