Christmas greetings pour in as PM Modi, President Murmu and LoP Rahul Gandhi share messages

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended greetings to citizens on the occasion of Christmas and expressed hope that the teachings of Jesus Christ continue to promote harmony in society.
Christmas is being celebrated across the globe on Thursday. Christians celebrate Christmas to mark the birth of Jesus Christ.
In a message shared on X (formerly Twitter), Modi said, “Wishing everyone a joyous Christmas filled with peace, compassion and hope. May the teachings of Jesus Christ strengthen harmony in our society.”
President Droupadi Murmu also conveyed her wishes on the occasion. In her message, she greeted all citizens with a special mention of the Christian community.
Taking to X, Murmu wrote, “On this auspicious occasion of Christmas, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all citizens, especially brothers and sisters of the Christian community.”

Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition of Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi also shared his Christmas message. He wrote, “Merry Christmas everyone! May this season bring joy, happiness, and prosperity, and fill your lives with love and compassion.”
