Bringing the festive spirit of Diwali to the skies, Air India Express, India’s first international value carrier, has introduced a special limited-edition Diwali ‘Gourmair’ Meal for travellers. The festive offering aims to make journeys brighter and more memorable with a touch of indulgence at 36,000 feet.

According to the airline, the Diwali Special Meal can be pre-booked for INR 500 through its website airindiaexpress.com, mobile app, or travel agents. Passengers can book it up to 12 hours before domestic and 18 hours before international flights.

The airline’s Diwali menu features a rich spread of traditional favourites such as Shahi Paneer, Dal Makhani, Jeera Rice, Laccha Paratha, Paneer Kachori, Dal Samosa, and Gulab Jamun offering a perfect blend of taste and comfort. The special meals will be available on all domestic and international flights from October 20 to 30, 2025.

To make celebrations even sweeter, Air India Express has also introduced a Chocolate ‘Celebration Cake’, which passengers can pre-book to enjoy mid-air with friends and family.

Diwali, known as the festival of lights, is a time for family, food, and festivities. It also marks one of India’s busiest travel periods. Air India Express’ special in-flight menu under its ‘Gourmair’ dining program captures this festive spirit, offering guests a taste of regional and global favourites from hearty hot meals to light bites and creative desserts.

The Diwali special meal is part of Air India Express’ ongoing effort to celebrate India’s culture and traditions through food, art, and experiences. In recent months, the airline has served Onam Sadya and Sattvik Meals for Navratri, delighting passengers with regionally inspired menus that reflect India’s culinary diversity.

Beyond its food offerings, Air India Express showcases the country’s rich heritage through its ‘Tales of India’ initiative, which features over 50 indigenous art forms on its aircraft liveries including Ajrakh, Banarasi, Paisley, and Toda designs.

A Tata enterprise, Air India Express currently operates over 500 daily flights across 43 domestic and 17 international destinations, with a fleet of 115 modern aircraft including 75 Boeing 737s and 40 Airbus A320s.

The airline’s new brand campaign, ‘Xplore More, Xpress More’, highlights the joy of travel and encourages people to discover new destinations, embrace local cultures, and create lasting memories.

Through ‘Gourmair’ meals, refreshed cabin interiors, comfortable seating, and seamless digital experiences, Air India Express continues to combine innovative technology with warm Indian hospitality, ensuring that every journey feels personal, festive, and truly Indian.

As Diwali brings light and togetherness to homes across the country, Air India Express brings that same joy to the skies one festive meal at a time.
