Teacher accused in Vadakara MDMA case stabbed inside police station compound

A teacher accused in an MDMA case was stabbed inside the Vadakara police station compound in Kozhikode on Saturday morning, with police taking the alleged attacker into custody.

The injured woman, identified as Keerthana, had arrived at the police station to sign as part of her bail conditions in the MDMA case when the attack took place around 10 am.

The person who allegedly stabbed her is believed to be her husband.

Keerthana sustained serious injuries and was initially taken to the Vadakara Government Hospital. She was later shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital for further treatment. She reportedly suffered around five stab wounds, including injuries to her neck.

Keerthana was a specialist contract teacher at the Block Resource Centre (BRC) in Perambra. She was arrested in connection with an MDMA case after allegedly acting as a link between people involved in the sale and purchase of the drug.

Following her arrest in the case, she was removed from her teaching position at the BRC.
