Shots fired at pizza outlet in Ludhiana; Police launch probe after CCTV emerges

Ludhiana: Two unidentified people opened fire at a pizza outlet in Punjab's Ludhiana late Tuesday night, police said on Wednesday.

The firing took place in the upscale Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar area, prompting police to launch an investigation into the incident.

CCTV footage of the shooting, which has surfaced on social media, shows two people allegedly firing at the outlet. In the footage, a person seated inside the shop is seen getting up and moving towards a safer spot after hearing the gunshot.

Police are examining CCTV recordings from the area in an effort to identify and trace the assailants.

A social media page called 'Gopi Lahoria Group' has claimed responsibility for the firing. Police said they are verifying the Instagram post to establish whether the claim is genuine.

The investigation into the firing is underway.
