RSS sympathiser TG Mohandas produced in Vanchiyoor Court; SFI holds protests

Thiruvananthapuram: Sangh Parivar sympathiser TG Mohandas, who was arrested by the Cyber Police over controversial remarks against students protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, has been produced before the court. He was brought to the Vanchiyoor Court in Thiruvananthapuram.

Activists belonging to the Students' Federation of India (SFI) staged a strong protest on the court premises. Carrying black flags and placards, the protesters shouted slogans against the accused while praising the Kerala Police for taking action.

Taken into custody from Kochi, Mohandas was brought to the court following a medical examination.

The hate speech was directed at those participating in the CJP agitation. Police action came 11 days after a case was registered.

In a video statement, Mohandas had remarked that if it were up to him, he would open fire at the students protesting in Delhi. He then made further abusive remarks against women and girls participating in the protest.
