Bloodbath in Dehradun as gym-goer gunned down on Rajpur Road

Dehradun: A shocking late-night shootout near Silver City on Rajpur Road plunged parts of the city into panic after a gym-goer was riddled with bullets by unidentified assailants. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the firing.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots, sparking chaos among pedestrians and motorists along the busy Rajpur Road corridor.

The victim, who had been returning from a gym session, collapsed on the roadside after being shot multiple times. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Police teams quickly reached the crime scene and cordoned off the area. Forensic experts began collecting evidence as investigators scanned CCTV footage from nearby establishments to identify the suspects and reconstruct the sequence of events.

Confirming the development, the city’s SP (City), Pramod Kumar, told ANI over the phone that police teams have been deployed at all key points across Dehradun. He said authorities are conducting an intensive search operation to trace the absconding criminals.

The brazen attack has heightened security concerns in the city, particularly along Rajpur Road, one of Dehradun’s busiest stretches.
