24-year-old man slashes mother’s neck, leaves her in critical condition

Thrissur: In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old brutally attacked his mother by slashing her neck. The incident took place at their residence in Azhikode, near Kodungallur, on Sunday night.

The victim, Zeenath, a resident of Muhammed Manzil, was initially rushed to a private hospital in Ernakulam with severe injuries. She was later shifted to Kottayam Medical College, where she remains in a critical condition.

The accused, Muhammed, has been taken into custody by the police. According to reports, Muhammed, a drug addict, had previously attacked his father three years ago.
