Varun Dhawan starrer ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ collects ₹13.99 crore in opening weekend

Varun Dhawan’s starrer ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ has registered a strong start at the box office, earning Rs 13.99 crore worldwide within two days of its release. According to figures shared by the makers, the film collected Rs 10.74 crore gross in India and Rs 3.25 crore from overseas markets.

Directed by veteran filmmaker David Dhawan in what is being promoted as his final directorial venture, the film stars Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles.

The story follows Jas and Bani, a couple heading toward divorce, before Jas finds love again with Preet. The plot takes a chaotic turn when both Bani and Preet become pregnant at the same time, leading to a series of comic misunderstandings.

Produced by Tips Films, the family entertainer also features Mouni Roy, Kubbra Sait, and Rakesh Bedi in key roles and is currently running in theaters worldwide.
