Sweet victory in sight? BJP in Bihar orders 501 kilos of Laddoos for celebration
As Bihar eagerly awaits the results of its Assembly elections on Friday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems already in a celebratory mood. Encouraged by exit polls predicting a comfortable win for the Nitish Kumar–led NDA alliance, BJP workers in Patna have placed an order for 501 kilos of laddoos to mark what they anticipate as a grand victory.
“In 2025, once again, the people of Bihar have given a clear mandate to the NDA. The exit polls have shown a massive victory for the alliance. Anticipating this, we have placed an order for 501 kilos of laddoos to be distributed among the people of Patna as prasad. Because November 14 will be celebrated like a grand festival for the NDA – like Holi, Diwali, Eid, and Dussehra all together – as the people of Bihar have voted for development,” said Krishna Kumar Kallu, BJP Working Committee Member.
Meanwhile, the sweet store owner assigned to handle the enormous order is in a hurry to get the treats ready. “We’ve received an order for 501 kilos of laddoos,” said shopkeeper Lalan Kumar Jaiswal. “We have to deliver them on the 14th at 7 o’clock.” When asked who placed the order, he said, “BJP workers had come and given it.”
Exit polls conducted by various agencies have projected a clear win for the NDA, with most surveys giving the alliance between 130 and 165 seats, comfortably above the majority mark of 122 in the 243-member Bihar Assembly.
