Actors Nicholas Galitzine and Camila Mendes say they were surprised by the enormous global fan base of He-Man after landing roles in the upcoming live-action film Masters of the Universe. Based on Mattel’s iconic toy franchise, the movie follows Prince Adam’s journey back to Eternia to battle the evil Skeletor and reclaim his destiny.

Galitzine revealed he was unaware of the character’s immense popularity in India, where He-Man became a cultural phenomenon in the late 1980s. Mendes said both actors immersed themselves in the franchise’s rich history by exploring comics, toys, cartoons, and previous film adaptations.

The stars also detailed the demanding physical transformation required for their roles, including months of training, strict diets, and long periods away from family. Galitzine described the experience as both mentally and physically challenging, while expressing excitement about introducing the beloved franchise to a new generation of fans.
