Jaipur zoo battles heatwave with coolers, ice treats & special animal care
At the Nahargarh Biological Park in Jaipur, zoo authorities are stepping up heatwave preparations as temperatures continue to rise sharply.
To help animals cope with the intense summer heat, the park has introduced a range of cooling measures across enclosures. Large coolers have been installed in night shelters, while water sprinklers and rain guns are being used in open display areas. Several enclosures now also feature shaded green nets and artificial water bodies, allowing animals such as tigers, lions, leopards, sloth bears, and hippopotamuses to cool off whenever needed.
