Education stands out as a major concern, with many students calling for greater focus and reform in the sector. Several have also voiced specific demands tied directly to their areas of study.
Development is another key theme, especially in terms of job creation. For many young voters, access to meaningful employment opportunities remains a critical issue.
Women voters, meanwhile, are emphasising the importance of representation—not only in politics but across all spheres of society.
Kerala has around 4.25 lakh first-time voters in the 18–19 age group for the 2026 Assembly elections. While they account for just over one-and-a-half percent of the electorate, experts believe they form a significant voting bloc, particularly in a state where election results are often decided by narrow margins.
