'Alpha' teaser: Alia Bhatt plays deadly assassin in new YRF Spy Universe film

Yash Raj Films has unveiled the much-awaited teaser of Alpha, introducing Alia Bhatt as a deadly assassin in the expanding YRF Spy Universe. The action-packed teaser opens with an emotional moment as Bhatt’s character celebrates her 18th birthday with her father, played by Bobby Deol. However, the celebration quickly turns into a mission briefing, setting the stage for her transformation into a highly trained assassin codenamed “Sita”.

The teaser offers glimpses of her intense training, childhood preparation and high-octane action sequences, making Alpha the first female-led spy thriller in the blockbuster franchise. Bobby Deol plays a key role in shaping the protagonist’s journey, while Sharvari and Anil Kapoor also feature in the film.

Directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner, Alpha is part of the YRF Spy Universe that includes Pathaan, War and the Tiger franchise. The film releases on July 3.
