Double tragedy in Tollywood: Another TV actor dies within 48 hours of Rahul Arunoday Banerjee

Less than 48 hours after the tragic death of actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee, the Bengali entertainment industry has been struck by yet another heartbreaking loss.
Television actor Pranab Chatterjee passed away at the age of 33 on Tuesday morning, leaving Tollywood in shock and mourning once again.
The industry was still struggling to come to terms with Rahul Arunoday Banerjee’s untimely demise during a shoot in Talsari when the news of Pranab’s sudden death emerged on Tuesday morning, compounding the grief across the film and television fraternity.
Chatterjee had worked in television serials such as ‘Netaji’, ‘Kadambini’, and ‘Tentulpata’. However, according to sources within Tollywood, the actor had reportedly not been getting work for several days.
He had been approaching fellow actors and producers in search of opportunities, but was unable to make much progress.
A few days ago, Pranab had also reached out to actress Alokananda Guha regarding work. The two had discussions about possible opportunities, and he even worked on a few projects for her channel.
Speaking to Aajkaal.in, the actress said, “I don’t know how all this happened. I had promised that I would give him as much work as I could going forward. He had also recently gotten married. His wife is much younger. Perhaps he was struggling to shoulder the responsibilities of running a household.”
Initial reports suggest that the actor suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. He was rushed for treatment immediately, but doctors could not save him.
The back-to-back tragedies have sent shockwaves through Tollywood, with actors, technicians, and fans expressing their grief and disbelief.
Many pointed out that the industry had barely begun mourning Rahul Arunoday Banerjee when another young life was lost.
