Vidya Balan to share screen space with Rajinikanth?

Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and starring Rajinikanth as Muthuvel Pandian, alongside Vinayakan as the menacing Varman, was released in August 2023 and set the box office on fire. The film, which also featured artists including Ramya Krishnan and Vasanth Ravi, had splendid cameos from top stars such as Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff. It also starred Sunil and Tamannaah, and it shattered box office records, becoming a celebration for fans of Thalaivar. The terrific cameos by Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar gave fans of the respective stars plenty of reasons to cheer.

Now, what has kept the fans excited are emerging news reports suggesting that Vidya Balan has been roped in for Jailer 2. She recently appeared in the hit film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 alongside Madhuri Dixit. Meanwhile, much to the excitement of cinephiles in Karnataka, Sandalwood superstar Shiva Rajkumar has recently confirmed his return in Jailer 2. However, fans of Mollywood superstar Mohanlal are still eagerly awaiting confirmation on whether they’ll witness Lalettan in his usual blazing form in the much-anticipated sequel.

It is also known that Angamaly Diaries fame Anna Rajan is set to join Jailer 2, further raising the excitement surrounding the film.

Meanwhile, the Rajinikanth film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is currently running in theatres. Opening to mixed reviews, the film features an ensemble cast including Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, and Aamir Khan.
