TP Kunhikannan, famous for his portrayal of ‘Minister Preman’ in Nna Thaan Case Kodu, dies at 85

Kasaragod: Prominent film and theatre actor TP Kunhikannan passed away at the age of 85. A resident of Cheruvathur in Kasaragod, he died of heart attack early on Saturday morning at a private hospital in Kozhikode.

Kunhikannan was particularly noted for his role as ‘Minister Preman’ in the film Nna Thaan Case Kodu, featuring Kunchacko Boban. His journey from the stage to the silver screen began while he was working as an engineer in the Public Works Department.

There was an outpouring of condolences from both the social and film communities. He is survived by wife Janaki and three children: Sreejaya, Sreekala, and Sreepriya.
