Thrissur: Actor Shine Tom Chacko publicly apologised to fellow actor Vincy Aloshious during a promotional event for their upcoming film Soothravakyam.

"I apologize if I offended you. The things we say in a humorous way every now and then to entertain people may upset others. Not everyone is the same. The way we see people and their ideas are all different. Five people take the same thing in five different ways. I often didn't understand that,"Shine said.

The incident in question dates back to when Vincy, during an earlier interview, had shared a troubling experience from a film project without naming the actor involved. “When I was part of a film, I had an experience with the main actor. He used drugs and behaved in a way that was completely inappropriate, making it very difficult to continue working with him,” she had stated at the time.

Though Vincy did not mention Shine’s name, speculation had linked her statement to a project they had previously worked on together. The matter sparked discussions within the Malayalam film industry around on-set professionalism and substance abuse.

At the promotional event for Soothravakyam, Shine addressed the issue directly and extended a heartfelt apology to Vincy.
