‘It is not an actress’ job...’: Singer Chinmayi criticises crowd at Samantha’s Hyderabad event

Hyderabad: Singer Chinmayi has criticised the crowd mismanagement that put actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a difficult situation during a public event in Hyderabad. She questioned why celebrities are repeatedly placed in unsafe and poorly managed situations due to bad planning.
The incident happened at Jubilee Hills, where Samantha went to inaugurate a clothing store. As news of her arrival spread, large crowds of fans gathered outside, making it hard for the team to manage the situation. A video of the crowd chaos soon went viral, prompting Chinmayi to respond.
“The actress’ team including her team member, Arya, is literally safeguarding her with his entire person . He must have been left with several bruises at the very least. Controlling a mob of humans who dont know basic civil behaviour is not an actress’ job,” Chinmayi wrote.
During the event, Samantha faced trouble even while leaving, as fans crowded around her. At one point, someone in the crowd accidentally fell on her and even stepped on her saree. Samantha handled the situation calmly, but the incident raised concerns about how celebrity events are managed.
This is not the first time such an incident has drawn attention. Earlier, actress Nidhhi Agerwal faced similar misconduct from fans during the audio launch of ‘The Rajasab’, starring Prabhas. Videos from that event showed fans trying to touch the actress and pull at her clothing, sparking widespread discussions.
