Saiju Kurup marks 20 years in cinema; celebrates milestone on ‘Aaram’ set

Two decades after making his film debut with Mayookham, Saiju Kurup has completed 20 years in the industry, a journey that has seen him evolve into one of Malayalam cinema’s most dependable performers.
The actor celebrated the milestone on the sets of his upcoming film Aaram, where the team surprised him with a cake. Surrounded by his co-stars and crew members, Saiju marked the special moment in a warm, on-set celebration.
Since his debut in 2005, Saiju Kurup has built a career spanning nearly 200 films across Malayalam and Tamil cinema. Over the years, he has seamlessly transitioned between antagonists and character parts, earning appreciation for his versatility and steady screen presence.
His ability to adapt to diverse genres from drama and comedy to thrillers has helped him remain a consistent presence in the industry.
About ‘Aaram’
In Aaram, Saiju Kurup will be seen playing a police officer. The film is presented by Junaiz Babu Good Hope and directed by advertising filmmaker Rajeesh Parameswaran.
The cast also includes Siddique, Askar Ali, Sudheesh, Anju Kurian, Shaheen Siddique, Dinesh Prabhakar, Gokulan, Manoj K.U., Vinod Kedamangalam, Eric Adam, Meera Vasudev, Surabhi Santhosh, Harith, Appunni Sasi, and Unni Lal in key roles.
The story, screenplay and dialogues are penned by Vishnu Ramachandran, with Junaiz Babu Good Hope backing the project as producer and distributor.
