BTS fans were left thrilled after RM appeared to accidentally confirm the group’s highly anticipated 2026 comeback. The revelation came during W Korea’s Love Your W breast cancer awareness event on 15 October, where RM, J-Hope, and V participated in a casual discussion that unexpectedly turned into a major spoiler moment.

In a video shared by the magazine, RM mentioned that he was refreshing his dance skills, adding that fans could expect to see the results “by the end of March.” The statement immediately fuelled speculation about a full-group comeback, aligning with earlier hints of a Spring 2026 release.

Known for his tendency to drop unintentional spoilers, RM also hinted that BTS members were preparing for album jacket photos and music video shoots — all signs of an active production schedule. HYBE has not yet confirmed the comeback timeline, but RM’s comments strongly suggest that new music and performances are in progress.

During the exchange, J-Hope joked about starting dance practice immediately, to which RM replied that training would begin “tomorrow.” V joined in playfully, dancing alongside them. Fans quickly noted that RM’s remark about “the end of March” likely points to BTS’ official group return after completing their military duties.

RM, whose real name is Kim Namjoon, was discharged from the South Korean military on 10 June 2025 after serving 18 months with the 15th Infantry Division Military Band. His recent public appearance marks one of the first since his discharge, as all BTS members near the completion of their mandatory service.

However, alongside the comeback excitement, RM’s name has also been linked to a brewing controversy involving missing donation funds. According to a JTBC report dated 14 October, a large portion of money collected through a campaign he supported for uniformed personnel has gone missing.

In September 2024, RM personally donated 100 million KRW (approximately ₹62 lakh) to a fund established by South Korea’s Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, aimed at supporting soldiers, police officers, and firefighters. The total donations reportedly reached 1 billion KRW (around ₹6.2 crore) after public participation increased following RM’s involvement.

The ministry had previously commended RM for his generosity and issued a letter of appreciation. However, recent findings indicate that officials are now unable to verify whether the funds were properly allocated or utilised for their intended purpose.

The revelation has drawn anger from BTS fans and the wider public. Social media users expressed frustration over alleged government mismanagement, with many calling it “disappointing” and “unacceptable” that such a large sum could go missing.

One fan wrote, “It’s disappointing to see genuine goodwill get lost in the system. When someone like Namjoon makes such a genuine donation, the country owes it to them to honour that desire.” Others questioned how such an amount could vanish without accountability, demanding transparency from authorities.

RM, who enlisted on 11 December 2023, served alongside fellow BTS member V. Both have since completed their service, and RM’s recent comments now appear to signal the group’s official reunion plans.

With fans now circling March 2026 on their calendars, anticipation for BTS’ comeback continues to rise — though questions remain over the fate of RM’s lost donation funds.
