Hyderabad: Tollywood power couple Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni Konidela are set to embrace parenthood once again, this time with double joy. The duo announced they are expecting twins through a heartfelt video released on social media, coinciding with their Diwali celebrations.

The video offers a glimpse into an intimate baby shower ceremony attended by close family members and friends. Among the notable guests were Megastar Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, and Varun Tej, adding to the warmth of the occasion.

Upasana shared, “This Diwali was all about double the celebration, double the love, and double the blessings,” capturing the spirit of the moment. The decor reflected the couple’s signature preference for elegance with meaning — traditional motifs blended with subtle modern touches.

The celebration video ends with the message “New beginnings,” symbolising the family’s anticipation for the twins’ arrival.

Ram Charan and Upasana welcomed their first child, daughter Klin Kaara Konidela, on 20 June 2023, in Hyderabad. Her name, derived from the Lalitha Sahasranamam, signifies purifying, transformative energy — a reflection of the couple’s spiritual and familial values.

Since becoming parents, Ram Charan and Upasana have often spoken about how the experience has strengthened their relationship and brought new meaning to their lives.

On the work front, Ram Charan was last seen in Game Changer, directed by Shankar and co-starring Kiara Advani. He will next appear in Peddi, continuing his run of high-profile Telugu projects.

The Konidela family, one of the most prominent lineages in Telugu cinema, has once again become the centre of public affection. The couple’s announcement of expecting twins was met with an outpouring of congratulations from fans and industry peers alike.

The baby shower ceremony — elegant, heartfelt, and steeped in familial warmth — showcased the couple’s focus on meaningful celebration over grandeur. The decor featured pastel hues, traditional garlands, and personalised touches representing both the Konidela and Kamineni families.

Close family members, including Ram Charan’s father Chiranjeevi and cousin Varun Tej, were seen sharing smiles and laughter during the ceremony. Actor Nagarjuna’s presence highlighted the close ties between the families within the Telugu film fraternity.

Upasana’s remarks, expressing gratitude and joy for the “double blessings” this Diwali, resonated deeply with their fans.

Ram Charan’s career continues to flourish — his last film Game Changer saw him in dual roles in a high-budget political action drama. Though the film received mixed reviews, Charan’s performance was praised for its energy and screen presence. His next project, Peddi, is expected to further consolidate his position as one of Telugu cinema’s leading stars.
