Aasa Koodu’ fame Preity Mukhundhan begins shooting for her Malayalam debut movie

Actress Preity Mukhundhan, who gained fame for her performance in the viral ‘Aasa Koodu’ song, is set to make her Malayalam film debut in the upcoming romantic thriller ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’. Directed by debutant Faisal Faziluddin, the film has officially begun production in Changanassery, Kottayam.  

The movie is produced by Sanju S. Unnithan under the banner of Spire Productions. The project marks a collaboration between Faisal Faziluddin and Bilkefsal, who have co-written the screenplay. The switch-on ceremony was inaugurated by producer Sanju S. Unnithan, with the first clap given by Raghunath Balakrishnan.  

Adding to the excitement, the film also stars Hridhu Haroon, best known for his role in the recent thriller ‘Mura’. This is the first time Preity and Hridhu will share the screen.  

‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ is a romantic comedy thriller, building on the success of Spire Productions’ previous hit ‘Mandakini’. Released in May last year, ‘Mandakini’ featured Anarkali Marikar and Althaf Salim in lead roles and was widely appreciated for its humor.
