‘Kattu Thottappol’: First single from ‘PATRIOT’ to release on March 12 on Sushin Shyam’s YouTube

The promotional campaign for PATRIOT, the highly anticipated espionage thriller from writer-director Mahesh Narayan, will accelerate this week with the debut of its lead single on composer Sushin Shyam’s YouTube channel this Thursday, March 12.

Produced by Anto Joseph and KG Anil Kumar, the film has garnered significant attention for reuniting the twin titans of Malayalam cinema, Mammootty and Mohanlal. The high-profile ensemble also features Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara, and Revathy.

Sushin Shyam, who handled both the songs and the original score, collaborated with lyricist Anwar Ali on a three-track album. The first release, a romantic composition titled "Kattu Thottappol," features vocal performances by Sai Prabha and Kapil Kapilan. The track is set to highlight actors Kunchacko Boban and Darshana Rajendran.

The premiere marks a strategic shift for Shyam, representing his first film score release through his personal digital channel. The composer intends to utilise the platform as a centralised hub for his professional repertoire and future independent musical projects.

PATRIOT is scheduled for a theatrical release in April 2026.
