Nithya Menen turns producer for new fantasy dark comedy; Teams up with Vikram K Kumar

Nithya Menen has joined hands with Leo Vision for the production house’s upcoming fifth project, which is currently being referred to as Production No. 5.

The yet-to-be-titled film will see Nithya not only lead the project as an actor but also co-produce it through her banner, Keyuri Productions Pvt. Ltd. The makers made the announcement on Monday, though details about the film’s plot and title are still under wraps.

Directed by D K, the upcoming film is described as a fantasy dark comedy, with Nithya playing the central character. The project brings together an interesting creative team, with acclaimed filmmaker Vikram K. Kumar coming on board as Creative Producer.

A. Sakthivel is handling the cinematography, while Richard Kevin will take care of the editing.

The film is being jointly produced by Leo Vision, headed by producer VS. Rajkumar, and Nithya’s Keyuri Productions Pvt. Ltd.

Pan-India release planned

The makers are planning a theatrical release across five languages. Production No. 5 will arrive in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, positioning it as a pan-Indian release.

The collaboration between Nithya, D K, Vikram K. Kumar and the two production houses has already created interest, particularly with the film’s fantasy and dark comedy elements.
