'When you destroy someone's life...' Nayanthara's 'Karma' post a dig at Dhanush?

Chennai: Following her legal clash with Dhanush over copyright matters, Nayanthara's recent Instagram story has stirred up a fresh controversy. The post, which touches on the theme of karma, is widely interpreted as a subtle jab at Dhanush.
The actress shared a message that read, "When you destroy someone's life with lies Take it as a loan It will come back to you with interest." Nayanthara's post came shortly after her response to Dhanush – through her lawyer – regarding the ongoing Netflix documentary issue.
The dispute began when Nayanthara accused Dhanush of pressuring her to remove footage from their 2015 film. According to her, after editing the documentary to exclude clips from ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan,’ Dhanush sent her a legal notice demanding Rs 10 crore for using just three seconds of behind-the-scenes footage. Dhanush’s lawyer later issued a statement demanding that Nayanthara take down her Instagram post, which criticized him.
In her candid note posted on Instagram, Nayanthara expressed frustration over Dhanush’s refusal to grant permission for even a brief, three-second clip of the film’s songs, demanding a hefty fee of Rs 10 crore in exchange.
The actress went further, suggesting that Dhanush's actions were driven by a personal vendetta against her and her husband, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. Nayanthara criticised the actor for what she described as a "low" and unfair move, particularly given the small nature of the request.
For context, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan was a successful Tamil film where Nayanthara starred alongside Vijay Sethupathi. Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film was produced under Dhanush's Wunderbar Films banner.
