Makers of Mammootty starrer 'Bramayugam' trademark title, logo; warns against unauthorized use

The production house behind the Mammootty-starrer ‘Bramayugam’, has issued a strong warning against the unauthorized use of the film’s title, logo, and other associated elements. 

Following the film's February release, Night Shift Studios has officially trademarked the title and logo. In a statement released on social media, the studio emphasized that any commercial use of the film's music, character names, dialogues, or likenesses, as well as the title and logo, is strictly prohibited without prior legal permission. 

The post read, “We would like to remind everyone that the use of any music, character names, dialogues, character or likenesses, or any other elements from the movie BRAMAYUGAM along with the title and logo of the same, for any commercial activities including but not limited to merchandising, creating cover versions, creating plays, skits, stage programs, branded public or private events, themed parties, or fan-made content is strictly prohibited unless you have obtained prior legal permission or a license from Night Shift Studios LLP.

To ensure compliance with our reserved rights, any artists, creators, event organisers, or merchandisers wishing to use these elements must legally procure permission or a license in advance. This can be done by sending a request to info@nightshift.studios.in. Thank you for your cooperation in respecting our intellectual property rights. The marks BRAMAYUGAM™ and NIGHT SHIFT STUDIOS™ are registered trademarks of Night Shift Studios LLP, Any unauthorised use in these or similar scenarios may lead to legal action.”

Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, ‘Bramayugam’ features Mammootty as Kodumon Potti. The film also stars Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, and Amalda Liz, and was released in five languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi. The film’s music was composed by Christo Xavier.
