'Lal, not just a name': ARM director hints at new movie with Mohanlal

Actor Mohanlal is expected to team up with Jithin Laal, the young director who shot to fame with the hit film Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM). The news was shared by Jithin himself via a heartfelt social media post, hinting at a possible collaboration with the legendary actor.
Mohanlal, who was last seen in the hit film Thudarum, could soon headline a project backed by producer Antony Perumbavoor if the proposed collaboration materialises.
Jithin’s debut film, ARM, featured Tovino Thomas in a triple role and became a significant box office success, reportedly entering the ₹100 crore club. Riding high on that success, the young filmmaker seems to be inching closer to a dream project with the Malayalam cinema icon.
In his post, Jithin shared images of Mohanlal and Antony Perumbavoor, accompanied by an emotional message: “Some names are chosen. Mine was a quiet promise to a star I followed. Lal — not just a name, a direction. One step into Ashirvad. Not the dream yet… but maybe the gate to it. Thank you, Antony Chetta. I hoped for a clear sky but felt the wind shift.”
Jithin had previously disclosed during ARM promotions that he is a devoted fan of Mohanlal, even incorporating "Laal" into his name as a tribute. Meanwhile, Mohanlal is currently gearing up for his next release, 'Hridayapoorvam', directed by Sathyan Anthikad.
