Kunchacko Boban's ‘Unmadam’ poster drops; Superstition mystery thriller hits theatres on July 31

The makers of ‘Unmadam’ have unveiled a brand-new poster, offering a fresh glimpse into Kunchacko Boban's upcoming Malayalam thriller. The film, which also stars Lijomol Jose, is set to hit theatres on July 31.
The newly released poster features Kunchacko Boban as Shelly, seated inside a police station and surrounded by towering stacks of official files. The striking visual hints at the actor playing an unusual police officer, adding to the curiosity surrounding the film.
Directed by Kiran Das in his directorial debut, ‘Unmadam’ revolves around a sensitive case file connected to superstition. According to the makers, the file sets off a series of unexpected events, with the investigation spiralling into chaos once it is brought to light.
The film marks the third Malayalam production from Panorama Studios.
Kunchacko Boban reunites with Shahi Kabir
One of the biggest attractions of ‘Unmadam’ is the reunion of Kunchacko Boban with National Award-winning writer Shahi Kabir after their successful collaboration on Officer on Duty.
Alongside Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose, the film features an ensemble cast including Siddique, Sudheesh, Vishak Nair, Sabumon, Kottayam Nazeer, Jijoy Rajagopal, Gokulan, Arun Cherukavil, Unni Lalu, Shaju Sreedhar, Krishnapraba, Kiran Peethambaran, Vishnu, Raina Radhakrishnan, Sijoy Varghese and Vigneshwar Suresh.
Kiran Das makes his directorial debut
Best known as one of Malayalam cinema's leading editors, Kiran Das steps behind the camera as director with ‘Unmadam’. He won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Editor for ‘Ishq’ and has previously worked on acclaimed films including ‘Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum’, ‘Joji’, ‘Moothon’, ‘Romancham’, ‘Rorschach’, ‘Joseph’ and ‘Ela Veezha Poonchira’.
Presented by T-Series and Panorama Studios, the film is backed by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, with Ram Mirchandani and Rajesh Menon serving as co-producers.
The technical crew includes cinematographer Arjun Sethu, music composer Mujeeb Majeed, production designer Dileep Nath, costume designer Gayathri Kishore, sound designer Jithin Joseph, and makeup artist Ronex Xavier.
