First look of Kalamkaval out, promises a ‘NEVER SEEN BEFORE’ Mammootty

Chennai: The much-anticipated film featuring Malayalam superstar Mammootty and the talented Vinayakan finally has a title – 'Kalamkaval'.

The makers of this thrilling project, directed by Jithin K Jose, made the big reveal on Saturday.

Mammootty, whose production house Mammootty Kampany is backing the film, took to his X timeline to unveil the first look poster and announce the title. Sharing the update with his followers, he wrote,

“Presenting the First Look Poster of @kalamkaval, Directed by Jithin K Jose & Produced by @MKampanyOffl #Kalamkaval.”

"Wait for another "NEVER SEEN BEFORE" Mammootty to be unleashed Soon," it added. 

The film, which is the seventh production venture of Mammootty Kampany, comes with a mysterious tagline 'The venom beneath'. 

About 'Kalamkaval'

Kalamkaval wrapped up shooting in November last year and is shaping up to be an exciting entertainer. Jithin K Jose has worked on the story and screenplay alongside Jishnu Sreekumar. The film boasts an impressive technical crew, including cinematographer Faisal Ali, editor Praveen Prabhakar, and music composer Mujeeb Majeed. Action sequences are being handled by stunt master Action Santhosh.

Adding to the buzz, the makers have hinted that Mammootty will be seen in a role unlike anything he has done before. Rumours suggest that the megastar might be playing a character with grey shades, though an official confirmation on this is still awaited.

Interestingly, the reveal of Kalamkaval's title and first look happened on a day that marks a special milestone for another Mammootty starrer – Bramayugam! The critically acclaimed period horror film, directed by Rahul Sadasivan, completed one year on the same day.

To mark the occasion, Bramayugam's production houses, Y Not Studios and Night Shift Studios LLP, took to their X timelines to celebrate the film’s anniversary.
