Social media influencer Aparna Thomas has a few things to say about the life she has lived, the choices she has made and the person she is still becoming.

The post comes at a time when her personal life has also undergone a major change, following her recent separation from television host Jeeva Joseph.

In the Instagram post, Aparna stated that she’s 32 and is not ashamed to admit things about herself. She also opened up about her fears, habits and the pressure she feels about making the most of her potential.

“I was a flight attendant for four years, spending most of my life in the air without a second thought.. yet now, every bit of turbulence makes me question all my life choices,” she wrote.

She also admitted that becoming a morning person has never quite worked out for her. Despite years of trying, waking up before 8 am still manages to throw off her entire day.

Aparna also reflected on her academic background, revealing that she has two degrees in economics but has rarely had a reason to use them professionally.

“I have a 2 degrees in Economics but I've never really used it, never had to present my certificate for anything,” she wrote.

In fact, one of the certificates is still sitting at her university.

“To be honest, one of the certificates I never even picked it up from my university. It's been a decade,” she added.

Her post also touched on her relationship with online shopping.

“Online shopping is my version of therapy,” she wrote, explaining that even when nothing fits and an entire order ends up being returned, the act of buying something gives her a sense of stress relief without having to step into a physical store.

‘I’m good at a lot of things’

Aparna also spoke about something many people can relate to: feeling capable in several areas without necessarily being exceptional at one particular thing.

“I feel like I'm good at a lot of things but idk if I'm exceptional at anything,” she admitted.

But rather than seeing that as a failure, she said she has never been particularly bothered by it because she is surrounded by people who are “insanely talented”.

Her career itself is an example of that willingness to keep changing direction.

“By this age, I completely changed many paths of my life,” she wrote, looking back at her move from media to working as a stewardess and eventually returning to something she genuinely enjoys, creating content.

Today, content creation is her full-time career and a source of income, although she said some people around her still do not consider it a “real job”.

Perhaps the most personal part of Aparna’s post came when she spoke about her fear of not doing enough with her life.

“I've always felt like I'm destined for more and my biggest fear is wasted potential. The older I get, the bigger that fear becomes,” she wrote.

Despite that uncertainty, Aparna ended the post on a more positive note, making it clear that she is happy with the life she has built for herself.

“Nevertheless I LOVE how I live my life. Growth isn't linear, be grateful,” she wrote.

Aparna Thomas and Jeeva Joseph’s separation

Aparna’s post comes shortly after she and Jeeva Joseph publicly confirmed that they were going their separate ways after 11 years of marriage.

Jeeva announced the separation on August 24, which marked what would have been their 11th wedding anniversary. He said that the decision was personal and asked people to respect their privacy.

Aparna subsequently shared her own statement, confirming that the marriage was over. She said it was not an easy decision but one she needed to make for herself. She also said she felt “at peace”, “happy” and “safe”, while choosing not to discuss the details behind the separation.

The couple, who married on August 24, 2015, were among the familiar faces of Malayalam television and social media. They were also seen together on the television show Mr & Mrs and regularly shared their life as a couple with their followers.

Jeeva continues to work as a television presenter and is currently associated with ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Keralam’, while Aparna has built a career around social media and beauty content.

Neither has publicly shared details about what led to the separation, with both asking for privacy as they move forward.
