Music director Ilaiyaraaja has sent a legal notice to Sun Pictures, the producers of the upcoming film 'Coolie', for unauthorized use of his song in the movie's promo. Ilaiyaraaja alleged that his song 'Va Va Pakkam Va' was utilized without permission in the teaser of the Rajinikanth starrer directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

In the legal notice, Ilaiyaraaja demanded the removal of the song from the 'Coolie' promo or obtaining proper authorization for its usage, failing which legal action will be taken. The song in question originally featured in the film 'Thanga Magan', where Rajinikanth portrayed the lead character.

The teaser depicts Rajinikanth's character confronting villains at a gold smuggling center, highlighting the film's action-packed narrative. 'Coolie' is being produced by Sun Pictures, with music composed by Anirudh and stunt choreography by the Anbariv team, known for their work in Lokesh Kanagaraj's films.
