Malayalam TV actor Sidharth Venugopal dies at 41 after prolonged illness

Malayalam television actor Sidharth Venugopal, widely recognised for his role in the popular serial Kasthooriman, has passed away at the age of 41. The actor had reportedly been undergoing treatment for health issues over the past two years.
Actress Seema G Nair confirmed the news through an emotional note shared on social media. Reflecting on his prolonged illness, she wrote that despite her efforts over the past two years to support him through his struggles, “all hopes have gone in vain,” adding that he has now “travelled to a world without pain.”
Actor Kishor Satya also paid tribute, describing the loss as “yet another untimely demise” and offering prayers for the departed soul.
Sidharth Venugopal rose to prominence with his performance in Kasthooriman, becoming a familiar face among television audiences. Born Vinish, he later adopted the name Sidharth, inspired by the popularity of his on-screen character. Although he exited the show midway, his role left a lasting impression and earned him widespread appreciation.
In his later career, he appeared in the lead role in the serial Bhagyajathakam. His untimely death has prompted an outpouring of grief from colleagues and viewers alike.
