Actor Anupama Parameswaran is gearing up for a comeback in Malayalam cinema with JSK: Janaki vs State of Kerala, a film that has been mired in controversy over its title.

While she was on a ‘sabbatical’ from Malayalam cinema, Anupama consistently lit up Telugu cinema with an array of movies—starting right from her debut in the industry alongside Nithin in A Aa, which also starred Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

While uncertainties continue to loom around JSK’s release, a video clip from Anupama’s interview with Sakshi TV Cinema has been going viral of late.

In the interview, which was held several months ago, Anupama could be candidly seen sharing her opinions about her Telugu colleagues in what felt like a fun-filled rapid-fire round of sorts.

Starting with Ram Pothineni, she said that the young star was a very close friend, hailing him as thoroughly professional. When it came to ‘Natural Star’ Nani, she quipped that he was very impulsive—spontaneous to the extent of being intimidating—but in a positive way.

The fun conversation didn’t end there. When she was asked about Naga Chaitanya, she called him a very sweet person, even while acknowledging that they haven’t worked together much. The interviewer then posed a question about Sharwanand, with whom she had worked in the film Shatamanam Bhavati. Anupama had a cheeky answer reserved for him: “Sharwa is zoned out most of the time... but the kind of conversations we have...” Anupama went on to speak in great spirits. In the same conversation, she also hailed Nithin for being very generous right from the beginning.

While Malayalam fans are eagerly awaiting the release of JSK: Janaki vs State of Kerala, expecting a thumping performance from Anupama, she has consistently notched up hits in other languages—be it Dragon or Tillu Square. The actor is a true talent and a bankable star today.
